They are called the Fightin' Blue Hens.
You have to pay them like $10 bucks when you are driving through to NY.
You can buy Imperial there.
Oh, and Gary Williams loves to get hammered and chase 20 year olds at Dewey.
That's it. That's the list.
Well now we can add that Georgetown AD Bernard Muir just left to take the exact same job with the Fightin' Blue Hens. It seems like a weird move until you realize that he has applied for two other AD jobs over the past couple of years - Duke and Northwestern. It looks like Muir needs some experience at a school with a legitimate football program before he gets to play at the BCS level.
It's not a big loss.
The facilities are still in the same position as when he got there. He had a Final Four to build off of and he did nadda with it.

I'm not sure how you can leave such comments that he will not be missed, since I'm almost positive you never worked with him...coming from an athlete at Georgetown, Bernard was an amazing athletic director. I know it's hard to believe but Georgetown has more sports than just basketball. Just because you think basketball didn't improve under his administration, doesn't mean other sports didn't. We have plans for a better athletic facility for all sports, a new baseball batting cage on Kehoe, new golf facilities inside Yates, a more improved softball field, and more. Bernard was a great athletic director who actually cared about the individual athletes, which is hard to find for a position which primarily worries about football.
In my opinion, you are ultimately never going to miss somebody that wanted to leave. Bernard has tried to get other jobs over the past few years.
I've met Bernard a few times through the HHC and he seemed like a nice enough guy. Well that's great and all but why was he out interviewing for other jobs?
He didn't make any progress on the MSF project or a basketball practice facility.
So its obvious to me that he knew he couldn't complete or move those projects forward OR he just wanted to be at school that wasn't a football wasteland.
Either way that's not the guy you want leading at Georgetown.
I want somebody who can accomplish major projects AND I want somebody who WANTS to be there.
Look at the end of the day I'm glad you have great experiences with him and see him as a great AD. That's fine. I just don't see this move as a sky if falling type thing. He wanted to leave so he did.

Deleware just dropped their XC and track programs. Muir has to be behind this. He said that mens only cross country and spring track teams need to be turned n club sports because of cost and compliance with Title IX. A few more kids admitted covers the cost, and they just added a womens golf team which satisifies Title XI. That’s all BS. It’s a racist decision.
Muir was hired as a token. His backround is at racist Georgetown, which does not even recruit white basketball players in the last 30 years. Thompson admitted that he did not recruit white players so that he could take care of "my people". That’s where Muir came from. Of course he is going to cut the mostly white cross country team. And you think the administration at scardy white UDel is going to overturn the first decision made by the minority hire? Please. Black bigotry exists, and it is now at Georgetown and Delaware.
